Classmate Murders - Book 1

Classmate Murders
Jim Richards has reluctantly turn sixty and has just quit his job as a security guard.
He describes himself as "I live in my old bedroom in my parents house, lousy credit score,
over-weight, balding, gray beard, I drink at least 8 beers a night, I'm now unemployed and
I just became a senior citizen, I'm such a loser". One day he receives an email from a
childhood sweetheart he hasn't seen in over 40 years, pleading for help but he doesn't
get to her in time. A killer is now stalking and killing his old female classmates (while
they are under police protection) for unknown reasons and Jim, along with his only friend
Buck, a big, mustachioed biker, are trying to stop the killer before he gets to one woman
Jim is falling for and before the class of '67
has lost any more of it's female alumni.

"Hey Bob,
Just wanted to send you a short note to say that I thoroughly enjoyed
reading your first novel, & I sincerely thank you for sending it to me.
I love your writing style in the novel. I found it easy to read, & the
story was compelling. In fact, I read it in 1 sitting, much the same way
I read Jeffery Deaver's novels!
Thanks again, & congratulations on a fantastic novel."
Much love, hugs & respect

"I've had the pleasure of meeting Bob Moats, @MurderNovels, on Twitter. He is the
author of several "murder novels" with the first in the series being "THE CLASSMATE
MURDERS". He gave me the opportunity to read "THE CLASSMATE MURDERS" which I found
to be totally enjoyable. I must say the author weaves a wicked story plus his humor
is a hoot! I shall not go into the plot because I don't want to ruin the read, but
the novel will catch your interest within the first few pages. I recommend reading
"THE CLASSMATE MURDERS", but you might catch yourself looking behind you all of the
time."

"Just started Bob Moats' "The Classmate Murders" WOW. That's all I've got to say. The man can write :-)"
"Jan 9, 2010.... if you don't make best seller's list 1 day - well - there's something wrong w/that!"
Cristyn West (@CristynWest on Twitter)

"Every now and again you stumble upon something wonderful on the internet. Bob Moats'
Classmate Murders is an excellent blend of Elmore Leonard and Philip Marlowe sensibilities,
with an unexpected hero well into his sixties, downsized from his job and forced into
an early retirement he can't afford. The character is easy to relate to, the story
itself a wonderful suspenseful ride with a cast of interesting characters, and damn
if it isn't some great detective writing. If you like your crime novels gritty,
with a touch of biker sensibility and a side of arthritis, you'll love Bob Moat's work."

Well, Bob...what can I say about book #2?
Again, I thoroughly enjoyed the story. I love the fast pace of your writing. The twists & turns come at breakneck speed & my interest in the narrative never waned. I was on the edge of my seat, trying to figure out "who dunnit".
I think Jim is a lovable character. Buck is simply hilarious. Penny - what a gal! And I don't mind admitting, I've got a bit of a crush on Deacon! And your antagonist in book #2...what a scumbag!
Never stop writing, Bob. I think you're doing a fantastic job. I sincerely hope that you enjoy writing your novels as much as people enjoy reading them.
Much love, hugs, respect & admiration...

Comments:
I laugh throughout your books (only 3 so far). You have a wild imagination...
The adventures of Jim Richards are amazing and very fast moving. Keeping Penny closely involved
with his personal and public life is great. Penny keeps him light-hearted and grounded. With his
police friends and crazy Buck helping him, they put their own spin on the adventures. The different
leads of the Dominatrix Murders kept me guessing throughout the book. When I thought I knew who
the murderer was, you proved me wrong. With the strong friendships of the characters and murder
mysteries you create, I'm laughing hard as I'm guessing who did it!

Comments: Hey Bob,
Just a quick note to let you know what I thought of book #3...
You just keep getting better and better. I think 'Dominatrix Murders' is the best so far. I
loved the opening scene of chapter 1 where Jim is confronted with the images of his first client.
I had to read the first page three times...tears of laughter were impeding my view of the words.
I'm not sure though, that I'd want Jim Richards around me. He seems to attract death & chaos
wherever he goes!
I was blindsided by Lincoln. I certainly didn't anticipate how he turned out. Just as I was
confounded by who the killer was. I didn't see that one coming at all.
Another fantastic crime novel, Bob. You're onto something here!
Always much love & respect to you,
Dani ;D xoxo

Comments: Great read, always like the twists and turns your
stories take!! You are great
at adding new characters to your plots and that sure keeps me reading. Jan
Schneider. 01/21/10
""The Mistress Murders"...honestly, I have to ask this question: Can you get any better? It was another
brilliant novel, Bob. Jim, Buck, Trapper, Penny, & Becker...what a team. I think I'd like to meet these folks. The
story, again, was paced quite fast & I like that. However, it wasn't so fast that the reader couldn't keep up.
I love your writing style. You make it easy for the reader to consume your novels in one sitting...have you been taking lessons from Jeffery Deaver? I love a book that I can't put down.
When I read your novels, I just feel like everything seems to fall into place for you when you write. Is that the case? Some books I've read seem as though the author has had a tough time writing it. Your novels never appear to me to be that way.
Well done, Bob. Another fabulous novel. Thank you for telling such entertaining stories.
Always,
Dani ;D
